Natural Varnish For Wood Floors - One question I've been asked time and again on the years working in the wood flooring business is; can my old wooden floor that is fitted be sanded and refurbished? A lot of people understand that first floor boards or parquet floors might be sanded back to make a finished flooring that is wonderful, having a fitted wooden flooring is a little more confusing, but things to do.

You need to determine that it's wood, & most importantly what type of flooring you have. I'm afraid the only real option is to replace it if your flooring is a wood effect laminate then.

There are two forms of fitted wooden flooring; solid and engineered wood flooring and also the great news is, both refurbished and might be sanded to look as new as the day. Engineered wooden flooring will often be mistaken for laminate as it includes the same building. Engineered wood flooring has a thin layer of real wood, generally between 3-5 millimeters bonded to your foundation of MDF or ply board, because that it's fitted together with a tongue and groove and of its building, it also stays quite flat.

Solid wood flooring will necessarily cost a lot more to purchase and is more expensive to make, but for me, it isn't as good a product as engineered as it is more vulnerable to warping.
