Polyurethane Wood Floors Lambswool - One question I've been asked time and again over the years working in the wood flooring industry is; can my old wooden floor that is fitted be sanded and refurbished? A lot of people know that original floor boards or parquet floors can be sanded back to produce a finished floor that is lovely, having a fitted wooden floor is a little more confusing, but things to do.

You need to learn which kind of floor you might have, and most importantly it is wood. I am afraid the only option is to replace it, if your floor is a wood effect laminate then.

There are two types of fitted wooden flooring; solid and engineered wood flooring and also the great news is, both may be sanded and refurbished to look as new as the day they were fitted. As it features the same construction engineered wooden flooring can occasionally be mistaken for laminate. Engineered wood flooring includes a thin layer of real wood, typically between 3-5 millimeters bonded to your base of ply or MDF board, because of its construction and that it's fitted together with a tongue and groove, additionally, it remains quite flat.

Solid wood flooring will necessarily cost a lot more to purchase and is more expensive to make, but for me, it is not as good a product as engineered as it's more prone to warping.
